I put the techniques Alan taught me into practice immediately.

Time and again Alan's voice rang true. He said I should obtain a valuation on my own home, which I did. I found that I had substantial equity, sufficient to borrow a further $400,000 for investing in rental properties and with the help of, Auckland Business Services Ltd; a Rolston Group Company, funding was obtained.

I purchased a brand new investment home with an attached unit and currently receive $690 per week in rent. My salary, which is in excess of $100,000 and for which I paid over $650 per week in tax. Now with the use of tax experts I pay approximately $290 per week in tax, a saving of $360 per week which is used to cover outgoings.

My property after one year has increased by $25,000 in value.

I LOVE BEING A winner, but always felt my lack of wealth was holding me back.

I LOVE WORKING AS a vet and would not change my career for anything, but unfortunately like a lot of other people I could never seem to get ahead financially.

I had a small share portfolio and a superannuation fund. I was concerned about my financial future.

I SORT OF FELL into the property investment by buying a holiday home that we could not really afford.

That was 9 years ago. The trouble was that we didn't know what we were doing and our wealth creation was moving very slowly. We did love the holiday house though!

When I attended one of Alan's seminars I was hooked and I took my wife Annie along to the next one where we both learnt about Good Debt verses Bad Debt.

We turned our mistake into a passion. We sold our holiday home and used the power of leverage and purchased two investment properties through Alan's company.

The rent and the tax refunds we receive from just one home enables us to take an overseas holiday each year.

The houses have increased in value and we are currently using the equity to purchase another investment property.

ALAN OPENED UP A whole new world for us. Our net worth has increased three-fold since we attended a property investment seminar in 1998. We have purchased three investment properties for $750,000 and using Alan's techniques we didn't use a cent out of our own pockets.

They are all cash-flow positive and better than that, they are now worth $930,000. That is $180,000 profit!!!! We've closed out our super funds and are now using Alan's technique to retire debt.

Probably the most important influence Alan has had on us is that of changing our psychology towards investing and wealth generation.

I LOVE WHERE I work but I wanted to get ahead.

When I first heard Alan's strategies I couldn't believe that they would work. It all seemed too good to be true, but they really did work, really well.

After attending a property seminar, I freed up the equity in my own house and using Alan's strategy I purchased two properties in the first 12 months. I have accelerated my mortgage payments and now pay virtually no tax.

I have enjoyed the experience in working with Alan and his colleagues. They are honest and reliable.

I have taken Alan's advice to protect all my assets by taking out mortgage protection and life insurance, so I do not leave my family with any financial burden should I die before the mortgages are repaid. Additional to this, I also took out income protection insurance.

The income protection insurance came in handy last year when an illness kept me away from work for 6 months. The insurance covered everything.

Friends ask me "Is it hard to duplicate what you have done". I simply say I'm only a store-man, if I can do it, anyone can.

WITH A BEAUTIFUL WIFE and 3 amazing children, things should have been wonderful, but I felt depressed and our family's financial future was going nowhere.

Our shares weren't performing and our mortgage was a frightening drain.

We knew that there had to be a better way and that turned out to be through Alan's group of companies. We left our first seminar very excited and immediately leapt into action.

Based on what Alan said in the financing section of his seminar we refinanced our existing home at a lower rate of interest, saving a $125 per month. This also enabled us to buy our first investment property. The value of the property has increased by $50,000 since we purchased it.

We have now sold all our shares and cashed up our super fund as it only returned an average of 2% over the last 5 years. The bottom line is that our mortgage interest rate would have averaged 8% over this same period and we had to pay for it out of after tax dollar, it just didn't make sense.

We would never have had the skills or confidence to make this progress without the help of Alan and his well informed consultants.

BEFORE WE WENT TO one of Alan's seminars in 1997 we were both science graduates with virtually no money and a future assured within the public service on reasonable pay structures.

After attending a seminar of Alan's we made a big decision to invest our time in investigating the property market further.

The time we set aside to investigate the property market has been the best investment we have ever made.

Our minds were opened to a world of opportunities in property, which we would never thought of, as in the education system you are not taught these skills.

We used Alan's suggestion and completed a detailed budget to monitor where we were spending our hard earned cash.

Within 6 months, we had saved $30,000 and through Alan's guidance we purchased an investment property valued at $250,000. We continued to rent ourselves and allowed the rental income and tax refunds to look after all of the out goings with the property.

Within 2 years of working and ploughing our money into the rental property we purchased another investment property and continued to do the same.

As Alan said to us, "The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary".

Now, four years later, we have three investment properties and $180,000 in equity.

The knowledge and experience gained from Alan and his consultants has been invaluable for our success.

WHEN I MET ALAN in 1998 I was working hard in my job as a medical representative. I had a home which I was paying off with a 25-year mortgage. Alan encouraged me to look outside the square.

I sold this home and purchased a new home through his company which I currently receive $420 per week in rental income and continued to rent myself.

Unfortunately for myself I could not understand why I was renting a lovely home out to someone else and living in a run down 30-year old home that the landlord neglected. I phoned Alan and arranged another meeting with him.

He said that I was learning the strategies of becoming wealthy and I was ready for the next step.

My father at the time was looking at building a new home through one of Alan's companies. I arranged a family meeting with my parents and Alan. What came from that meeting was that we would both design and build a new home.

Through Alan's advise I live in the house, I had designed but which my parents own, and my parents live in the house they had designed but which I own. We rent the properties from each other paying market rent. We both obtain the tax losses, which turns bad debt into good debt.

I am currently on a salary of $60,000 and I pay virtually no tax.

I feel that what Alan has shown me is invaluable and has helped me create $80,000 in equity in 3 years.

UNLIKE SOME OTHERS, I was a bit of a slow starter.

It took me over 2 years to gain enough confidence to implement the strategies that Alan showed me. The information that I gained in that first seminar and meeting with Alan, I took to my Solicitor, Accountant and Bank Manager.

Both my Solicitor and Accountant advised me not to get involved and told me to continue saving my money with the superannuation scheme I was involved with and managed by one of New Zealand's largest superannuation fund managers.

My Bank Manager said that he thought it was a good idea, but did not understand the strategies.

I attended a further seminar and asked Alan if I could meet once again with him. His advice was to talk to other people that he had helped and take advice from people who have succeeded in property. I looked at my superannuation and it was going backwards, I was paying $400 per month into the scheme. In the 3 years it had been running it created a negative return.

I had a mortgage on my own property, which I was paying off over 25 years. With after tax dollars in fact the true interest rate, I was paying an average 12%. With Alan's advice, I took the same money that I was putting into superannuation and started paying this into my mortgage along with my salary on a weekly basis.

Within two years I had reduced my mortgage by $22,000. I used Alan's strategies to purchase an investment property and now 4 years later I have increased my equity to $280,000.

As Alan says, "If you wish to succeed in life, you first have to plan". I now own my own home and two investment properties with a total equity of $280,000.

Because of my ability to offset losses against my salary, I pay 11cents in the dollar in tax.

Now I'm teaching my Solicitor, Accountant and Bank Manager about property investment.

I just wish I had listened to Alan 4 years ago, as the property that I could have purchased at that time, is now worth $60,000 more.

I thank Alan and his staff for demonstrating to me the future to financial freedom, but also reminding me that it's family, friends and what we do in life that counts.

The money helps me to enjoy those luxuries I always dreamt about.
